Description
Żar Cable and Ground Railway was built in Międzybrodzie Żywieckie in 2004. It can transport on the mountain top up to 1100 people per hour and by one time carriages can hold 115 people. A whole route is 1300 m long.
At the upper stop there are:
– restaurant,
– observation deck,
– artificial lake– reservoir of a pumped storage power plant (area of 14 ha).
Close to the lower stop there are: dinghy slide and ropes course.
A view over lakes and reservoirs of Beskid Żywiecki spread from the top of the mountain.
Międzybrodzie Żywieckie is a small mountain resort situated 12 km north of Żywiec, at the picturesque MiędzybrodzkieLake.
