Description
It is one of the most important and oldest streets in Katowice, characterized by numerous historic tenement houses located along its whole length. We can find there among others:
– building of the former Bank Spółek Zarobkowych [Gainful Company Bank] from 1932,
– Christ Resurrection Evangelical Church,
– Ignatz Grünfeld’s villas,
– Kramsta family’s villa.
The street runs from the square market in Katowice, next to the building of the Stanisław Wyspiański Silesia Theatre to the junction with the Jerzy Duda-Gracz street. Along the street there is a tram traction running from the east to the very centre of the city. Several public transport stops are situated at Warszawska street.
