Located in the centre of Bytom main railway station was built at the end of 20’s of the 20^th century. The modernistic building with the clock installed in the tower is currently squalid and way past its glory days. 

 

In the station premises there are:

– big railway station concourse without ticket offices and retail spots,

– separated underground passages,

– platforms – three high and two low  (one of them functions as the baggage platform),

– train shed – one of the few in Poland .

 

Bus station is located in close proximity.
