Description
Murcki is the southern district of Katowice with the historical buildings from 20th century. There are low residential buildings as well as open green spaces.
In the very centre of the district – the town square, one can find (among the others):
– St Barbara shrine,
– the market,
– service and retail spots,
– and the bus stop.
The historical buildings such as designed by the famous architect, Zygmunt Gawlik, church, historical houses (Bielska street), as well as the building of the closed rail station are located in the Murcki district.
In the Murcki premises one can also find the hospital, with the reserve “Murckowski Forest” situated opposite it.
The district is the perfect spot for the film location, mainly thanks to its small-town atmosphere and vibe.
