Description
Municipal Palm House in Gliwice is located in the Chopin Park premises.
Modern building with the total area of 2000m2. The entrance is guarded by the sculptures of lying lions. It is the place that supports the popularization of the knowledge about fauna and flora of various climatic spheres. Over 5600 kinds of plants can be found in the vast Palm House collection, some of them are over 100 years old.
The Palm House is divided into 4 thematic pavilions:
– pavilion of usable plans,
– tropical pavilion,
– historic pavilion,
– pavilion of succulents.
Apart from the exotic plants the pavilions include:
– terrariums with reptiles,
– aquariums with turtles,
– exotic parrots and canaries.
