Description
The Jasna Góra, in other words the Sanctuary of Virgin Mary of Częstochowa as well as the Pauline Father’s Monastery located on the Jasna Góra hill is one of the main places of pilgrimage of the Christians from all over the Poland.
Jasna Góra is surrounded by the wall built in at least 1624. The entrance is possible through four gates – the Wałowa Gate, the Sorrowful Mother Gate, the Black Madonna, the Queen of Poland Gate and the Lubomirskis’ Gate.

– the Black Madonna of Częstochowa chapel
– the tower
– the Royal Chambers
– the Musicians’ House
– the cenacle
– women’s gallery
– the churchyards
– Saint Antoni Paderewski’s chapel
– and the library
The hill is surrounded by the grass, with its lower part being the entrance to the Jasnogórski Park as well as the spot for the devotional articles booths.
The location entered the List of Historic Monuments in 1994.
