Description

Hospital Trauma Center in Sosnowiec, earlier called Coal Miners Hospital, was established in 1988. It is one of the biggest hospital complexes in the south of Poland.

 

Apart from fully equipped rooms there are:

modern landing site for rescue helicopters (possibility of landing at night),

tunnel for transporting patients to the Emergency Department,

– small hospital shop,

– doctors’ offices.

5 clinical departments are placed on the premises:

– Clinical Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care,

– Clinical Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery,

– Clinical Department of Neurosurgery,

– Clinical Department of Urology,

– Clinical Department of General Surgery and Polytrauma with the Surgical Nursing Section.

The building is located nearby the S86 Cracow- Katowice- Warsaw route. In the vicinity there are: Katowice and Dąbrowa Górnicza.
