A street located in Środula district in Sosnowiec. Its name dervives from the Gzichów chemical factory, which was established here in 1883.

Following places adhere to Chemiczna Street:

–Schön square– a housnig estate from the end of the 19^th century, built for the spinning mill’s workers,

–edifice of the Museum in Sosnowiec,

–Wilhelm Schoen Palace.

Two- and three-floor, red brick buildings, called Schön houses, and railway tracks of Katowice- Warszawa railway main line were built along the street.

 

 

In the vicinity there are Katowice, Dąbrowa Górnicza and Jaworzno.
