Description
A modern building of the BRE Bank is located in the city centre of Katowice at Powstańców Street. It was erected between 1997 and 1999 and serves as an office building with conference rooms.
A total area of the building is 7,440 m2, cubage: 34,600 m3.
It belongs to medium-high buildings in the postmodern architectural style. It is commonly called ‘Żyleta’. In a large measure it is made of glass.
In front of the entrance there are:
– fountain,
– small stairs,
– greenbelt with conifers,
– big promenade.
In the vicinity there are: head office of the PKO Bank, The Silesian Library and cemetery. At the distance of 2 km there is an exit road to the A4 highway.
