Orzesze is located on the southern part of the Silesian Upland’ boarder, sloping towards the Ciszyn-Racibórz Valley.

Numerous ponds are scattered around the commune together with the left tributary of the Odra River, the right tributary of the Vistula River and Birawka river. Most of the commune is forested (about 52% of the commune area) with the numerous meadows, fields and pods.

The ponds constitute 10% of the town’s area. There are three large bodies of water that make up so called Pasieki. One of them is the pond called Baron. Szybiarz, the training and recreation center with the accommodation and restaurant facilities is located by the Baron pond. There is also the beach with the kayaks and pedal boats.
