An abandoned building of a total area of 1000 m². Formerly it had been a location of one of the orphanages in Bytom. It was built at the beginning of the 20^th century in a typical Silesian architectural style.

 

In the building there are:

– bedrooms furnished only with single beds and cabinets,

– teaching room,

– office rooms, study,

– long corridors,

– wooden stairs,

– social rooms,

– lavatories,

– big cellars.

A terrace has been added between two flanks of the building.

A big yard with parking spaces and a small green square surround the building. In the vicinity there is a kindergarten.

 

The building is located in the city centre, close to the exit road to Katowice and AGORA shopping centre.

The abandoned orphanage has been a location in the film ‘The Mother’.
