Reduta Częstochowa Historical Society

The primary goal we have pursued since the Association’s inception in 2010 has been to restore the broadly understood memory of the heroes of the forgotten battle fought by the 7th Infantry Division of the Polish Army in defense of the Częstochowa region in September 1939. We believe that, in our current times, the best form of education is history brought to life, so historical reenactment has become one of the most important and effective aspects of our activities. Initially, we cultivated the traditions of the Częstochowa 27th Infantry Regiment, part of the 7th Infantry Division but over time we increasingly organized events commemorating the combat efforts of the soldiers of the 25th Infantry Regiment and the 74th Upper Silesian Infantry Regiment. In short, we currently cultivate the traditions of the entire 7th Infantry Division with a particular emphasis on the Częstochowa and Lubliniec Regiments.
